Over the years I have learned many life lessons about money.

Some were lessons I had to pay the hard way for but was worth it at times.

Not everyone around was comfortable to give real education about money... Life lessons... Most were just read from a book.

I decided to be open about money with my kids early!

To be open and for them to get the lessons meant they needed to have money. 

My lessons have made a difference because Jan 2020 my 10yr old bought a phone she wanted by saving her allowance. She paid $200 cash!

Here is how.  I started 5 years ago given them an allowance. I went with Gail Vox Oxlade rule of $1 per year... So my 10 year old would get $10/week paid monthly.

They all have an account and saves 1/3 for longterm.  My oldest may buy a car with this. 1/3 for general things like birthday gifts clothing outside of the seasonal parents provide. The last 1/3 is for themselves.
